Dothan, AL - Veterans are still being honored in the Wiregrass.

Thursday, Montana Magnet School in Dothan held a Veteran Day program.

The school's lunchroom was filled with veterans, students, and parents.

There was singing, superintendent Wilder spoke to the students about freedom, and WTVY's own Reginald Jones recognized honored guests.

Among the guests was an US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who served more than 40 years.

"For the school to do something of this nature it's really special. Not for just me, but for all the men and ladies here and the ones over there in the bad places and the deployed moms and dads. It's quite an honor, really," said retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. William Veale, Sr.

More than fifty veterans were recognized at the ceremony.
