It should be quite a Christmas for a Missouri family who claimed half of the record 587-million dollar powerball jackpot Friday.
Missouri lottery officials presented the oversized check to Cindy and Mark Hill to the tune of more than 293-million dollars.
Cindy says she bought the ticket at a food mart late Wednesday afternoon, only hours before the drawing.
The couple described the experience when they realized they had one of the winning tickets as surreal.
The Hills say they will share their good fortune with three grown sons and a six-year-old adopted daughter.
They also said they plan to donate to several charities, including adoption advocacy groups.
Lottery officials have not yet confirmed the identity of the other Powerball winner, who bought a ticket in Arizona.
