Millions of Floridians Expected to Quit Smoking

The New Year is almost here and with it comes many resolutions.

About 1.9 million Floridians are expected to try to quit smoking in 2014.

The Florida Department of Health in Bay County are encouraging users to create a personalized plan with the help of state resources.

Studies show nearly two-out-of-three adult smokers would like to take the steps toward quitting.

They say by using one of Florida’s three ways to quit, you can double your chances of success. The three ways are by using the Florida quit line, web coach, and in-person classes through the area education center.
