Meth Lab Busted in Ashford, 1 Arrested

ASHFORD, AL - On the evening of November 30, 2012 Ashford Police responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 900 Block of Freddie Whiddon Road, Ashford. While investigating the complaint officers discovered a Clandestine Laboratory set up in the kitchen of the residence that was being used for the manufacture of Methamphetamine. There were also several grams of Methamphetamine discovered on the scene.

Arrested was James A. Riley, white male, age 28 of the Ashford area. Riley was charged with Manufacture of a Controlled Substance a Class A Felony and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance a Class C Felony.

Riley was transported to the Houston County jail where he will be held pending a $165,000.00 bond.

Ashford Police was assisted in this investigation by Houston County Sheriff’s Office.
