Men and Women of the Air Force have Much to be Proud of After Record-Breaking Flight

The pilots at Eglin Air Force Base flew thirty sorties from the base last week.

Each sortie equals an hour and a half flight.

Not only did they break a flying record, they used the F35A aircraft.

the F35A uses new computerized technology and it replaces an aging fleet.

"Every day we're working on making the process that we have better so we're trying to fly as many sorties as we can and as we're flying sorties we're learning about how to fly sorties and learning how to maintain airplanes," Pilot Matt Renbarger said.

There are only two other bases in the US that fly F35A, one in California and one in Nevada.
