ATLANTA (AP) -- Georgia Lottery officials say the Mega Millions jackpot has reached an estimated $400 million -- which is the second largest jackpot in the game's history.
Officials say one player who purchased a $1 ticket in Gainesville won $10,000. Two winning tickets sold in Norcross Dec. 10 were worth $5,000 each, and another two sold in Pelham and Lawrenceville were worth also $5,000.
Officials say the next jackpot drawing is on Friday.
All Georgia Lottery proceeds are used to fund initiatives to support college education and pre-kindergarten programs in the state.
Officials say since its inception, Georgia Lottery has given more than $14.8 billion to support education in Georgia.
