Dothan, AL - A former Dothan city commissioner announced his candidacy for re-election Tuesday.
Larry Matthews is running for the District 1 seat on the Dothan City Commission.
He says that as a commissioner he would be accessible and hold quarterly meetings.
"You have the landfill issue. Which people surprisingly didn't find out about until just about the time people got ready to vote on it. To keep people informed concerning the issues of district 1, as well as other major issues in the city of Dothan," said Matthews.
Matthews also is seeking alternative solutions to the landfill expansion.
