Mats for the Homeless

Do you have extra plastic bags leftover from the grocery store?
One Dothan woman is turning your trash into treasure.

Kati Price decided to start making mats out of plastic bags for the homeless.

Since the mats are plastic, they don’t rot, they are easy to clean, dry quickly and bugs can’t nest in them.

It takes Kati 500-700 plastic bags to make one mat.

She says if you'd like to donate plastic bags, or help her make them to give her a call at 796-5576.
