MONTGOMERY, Ala. - U.S. Representative Martha Roby (AL-02) congratulated Bradley Byrne on securing the Republican nomination in the race for Alabama's 1st Congressional District.
The Associated Press has projected Byrne the winner of the special primary runoff election in the race to succeed former Rep. Jo Bonner, who retired in May.
“Congratulations to Bradley Byrne for winning the Republican nomination in the race to become Alabama’s next congressman from the 1st District," Rep. Roby said. "I’m proud that Republicans in South Alabama put forward such a determined leader who can help our party craft and articulate conservative solutions to this country’s problems. I look forward to Bradley crossing the finish line in a few weeks and becoming a valuable part of Alabama’s delegation in Congress.”
