MARIANNA, FL - On 26, January 2013 at approximately 1024 hours, officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Old Cottondale Road for excessive speed.
During the traffic stop, K-9 Jyro was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of Blount’s vehicle. K-9 Jyro gave a distinct behavior change followed by sitting constituting an alert for the odor of a narcotic within the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and marijuana packaged for sell was discovered hidden in the vehicle.
Kimberly Carissa Blount arrested and transported to the Jackson County Jail Facility where he will be held awaiting first appearance.
