Man Involved in Tree Accident in Cowarts

An apparent early morning tree accident sends a man to the hospital.

Around 10:30a.m. Friday police responded to an accident on Westbourne Street in Cowarts.

Officials say they got a call from someone who was passing by.

The person said a tree had fallen on a man.

Investigators didn't confirm if the man fell out of the tree or if he was attempting to chop it down and it feel on him.

He was transported to the hospital .

The extent of his injuries is unknown.
