Man Accused of Abusing Twin Sons

PRATTVILLE, Ala. (AP) -- Jurors in Prattville have convicted a man of physically abusing his twin sons when they were about 1 year old.

An Autauga County jury returned the verdict against 21-year-old Mohamad Osman, who was charged with child abuse. He now faces sentencing on Nov. 8.

An investigation began in March 2010 when one of the boys was taken to a hospital with a broken arm just after he had turned 1. Evidence showed that doctors determined the child had seven fractures.
A review showed his brother had two broken bones.

Reports suggest that the mother of the twins, Brittany Osman, also faces charges of child abuse. Her trial date hasn't been set.
The boys are in the custody of grandparents.
