The Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank is dangerously close to being empty.
So one local group decided to do something about it.
A group of individuals are gathering together today and tomorrow from 9 am to 1pm to collect canned goods for the Wiregrass Food Bank.
The food drive is called "Love Can" and they are asking everyone to bring any non-perishable food items or monetary donations to the parking lot of the old Bruno's grocery store.
All donations will be sent to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank to help restock the food supply.
If you happen to miss your chance to donate during this food drive, you can take part in our "WTVT News 4 Restock the Shelves Food Drive" on Thursday, August 23rd.
