Local Animal Shelter needs Foster Homes

DOTHAN, AL---It's summer time and some local animals could use your help.

The shelter needs both cat and dog food, water bottles and plenty of foster homes.

"We're busting at the seams right now, last month we took in over
600 hundred animals, this month we've already taken in over 300," said Shelter Administrator Sgt. Adrianne Woodruff.

The shelter is transporting more than 100 puppies to other shelters tomorrow (Saturday).

If you're interested in adopting a pet or being a foster parent you can give the shelter a call.
