A line of storms moved through the wiregrass area on Monday, bringing with it heavy rain, wind, and even prompting a few severe thunderstorm warnings.
Heavy rain was falling all across the city of Troy, including Troy University’s main campus.
Although there were a few flashes of lightning and rumbles of thunder during the storm’s peak, there was no damage reported in Pike County.
However, the storms did grow stronger as they entered the Florida panhandle.
The National Weather Service in Tallahassee did issue Severe Thunderstorm Warnings along the line.
There were a couple of reports of straight-line wind damage in Jackson County, Florida.
