Monday’s storm left its mark at a Dothan home.

A 100-year-old pecan tree was struck by lightning yesterday evening. It is at John White’s home on Eddins Road.

White says the strike happened around 7:30 p.m. He heard a loud crack and came outside to find large streaks where the lightning traveled through the tree and into the ground.

White hopes the tree survives the strike.
