Liberty Fire District Station

There was a ground-breaking ceremony for a new fire department in Northwest Florida today.
The ceremony was part of a commemoration for the 11th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.
Walton County officials received an 800-thousand dollar federal homeland security grant for the facility.
The county will chip in 100-thousand dollars in-kind services.
The new Liberty Fire district is expected to be completed by the spring of next year.
