History buffs in the Wiregrass got the chance to hear about the role our region played during the Civil War era. Auburn university doctoral student Tommy Brown lectued on this first installment of the series at Landmark Park Sunday.
He highlighted on the pro-slavery and loyal to confederacy sentiment the region possessed.
This is a part of the "Heritage Forums" series at the park and the programs will take place each Sunday in July at 3:00 p.m at the Interpretive Center Auditorium at Landmark Park.
