ALABAMA LAWMAKERS ARE HOPING A NEW SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM WILL SPARK INTEREST IN MUCH-NEEDED TECHNICAL JOBS.
STATE SENATOR JIMMY HOLLEY AND STATE REPRESENTATIVE MIKE JONES WERE IN OPP TODAY FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE "ALABAMA'S FUTURE WORKFORCE INITIATIVE."
THE STATE LEGISLATURE HAS APROVED A 10-MILLION DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS INTERESTED IN CAREER TECHNICAL DUAL ENROLLMENT PROGRAMS.
THESE TYPES OF DEGREES COULD PAY IMMEDIATE DIVIDENDS FOR GRADUATES.
THERE ARE CURRENTLY A THOUSAND UNFILLED WELDING JOBS IN THE WIREGRASS ALONE…
