A Georgia state park is doing their part to keep hunters safe this season.
Kolomoki Mounds State Park is hosting hunter education courses.
Kids 12 and under are required to take the course before getting a license.
The class is on August 24th and September 28th.
They will go over fire-arm safety, muzzle control, basic hunting techniques and tree-stand safety.
"We want everyone to get this course, we want everyone to be safe in the woods. We don't want any accidents in the woods this hunting season and if everyone can have the basic hunter safety course it cuts down on those accidents we have,” Park Manager Mark Bruner said.
