Kite Festival -One of the Largest in the Nation

The sky in Berkeley, California is shining even more colors than just its usual blue this weekend (7/28, 7/29).

It's the Twenty-Seventh Annual Berkeley Kite Festival -- one of the largest in the nation.

Thousands of people showed up to cast their fate to the wind.

Giant sea creatures took flight at the marina, while more traditional kites dotted the skies nearby.

The two-day event features kite building lessons, team competitions, and free candy drops over the crowds.

Thirty-five-thousand people are expected to attend.
