Kinston Railroad Track Removal

By  |

A century old fixture in the western wiregrass is quickly disappearing.
Recently, the state department of transportation contracted with a private firm to remove the "old" railroad crossings along Highway 52.
A crew worked on a crossing at the Covington-Coffee County Line outside Kinston.
The entire project stretches from Andalusia to Geneva.
One organization would like to see the route eventually become a nature trail.
