Attorneys in the Jerry Sandusky case will meet with the judge today -- one day ahead of sentencing for the convicted child rapist.

Prosecutors and Sandusky's lawyers are scheduled for a private meeting with Judge John Cleland.

They'll discuss matters related to the two court sessions tomorrow -- the first, a hearing to determine whether Sandusky is a violent sexual predator.

The second will be the formal sentencing, where Sandusky will learn his punishment.

The Patriot News reports Sandusky will speak in his own defense, reading a statement he's been working on while in jail since his conviction in June.

You'll recall the former Penn State University assistant football coach was found guilty on 45 counts of child sex abuse.

He faces life in prison when sentenced tomorrow.
