JACKSON CO., FL -- A Cottondale man is behind bars on burglary and assault charges. Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Amos Cutchins on Wednesday morning, following a dispute between Cutchins and his neighbor Richard Broxton.
Authorities responded to a report of an armed burglary and assault at 3112 Manatee in Cottondale.
Investigators say Cutchins and Broxton began arguing. At some point, Cutchins forced his forced his way into Broxton's home and pointed a gun at Broxton, threatening to kill him.
Cutchins, 37 years old, has been arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail. He is charged with Armed Burglary and Aggravated Assault with a firearm.
