Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office Warns of Email Scam

JACKSON COUNTY, FL - It has been reported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office that citizens are receiving e-mails in reference to lotteries. The e-mail is notifying you that you have won a lottery. The top of this e-mail had the words EURO LOTERIA ESP, but there are also many more headings. The e-mail states to begin your claim make contact with a stated contact person. It gives an e-mail address and phone number for this contact person.

These are scams to get your money or bank information. Please, please do not respond to these e-mails. If you send money or your money is taken from your account no one can get it back, it is lost.

If you have any questions please contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office or you local law enforcement agency.
