The Wiregrass extends a warm welcome to its Chinese guests at the International Foster Fest in Downtown Dothan. The event featured live music from a local band, a car show, bouncing inflatables for children, and plenty of food.
The fest is an event designed to give symposium guests a welcome filled with southern hospitality. Local residents believe China investing in the Wiregrass is a mutually beneficial thing.
"Having a symposium here in Dothan, we have a lot to offer there's a lot of people here, we're close to the beach, and it's just a good win-win situation for everyone," said Paul Serina, an attendee.
Ms. Boomers, Nektar, and Bella's were a few of the local restaurants hosting dinners for the guests. Residents say they hope to leave a good impression with Chinese investors.
