Chief Administrative Officer William Dempsey presented the annual financial report at Monday's Houston County Commission meeting.
Dempsey says the county is in good standing.
He says the county was able to get a lot of accomplished in the road and bridge department and spending is under control.
Dempsey says it's important for a number of reasons to have such a good financial report.
"It's good from the stand point, first from management, are we able to control what we do in terms of expenses, are we able to forecast our revenues, but even more importantly it's important for us to be able to explain to bond companies how good we are, how financially secure we are, " says Dempsey.
Dempsey also says the county savings is in a good position.
