Houston Academy students are going to the dogs, well at least their writing is.
On Thursday morning, children’s author David Sargaent Jr. stopped by the school to help inspire students with some help from his four-legged friends.
The three pups performed tricks as Sargeant explained how each of them has helped him with his writing.
“Hopefully someone coming into the school that they [students] don't particularly know will inspire them because the parents and the teachers are always telling them to write about what they know but when someone else comes in with actual books that has done that it seems to click.”
