Geneva Flooding

As a result of continued rainfall over the last 24-36 hours, Dothan / Houston County EMA would like to provide the following tips to our citizens as we experience localized flooding conditions.

Keep monitoring radio, TV (local or cable), NOAA Weather Radio, and/or the Internet.

Roads may be closed for your protection. If you come upon a barricade or a flooded road, turn around and go another way!

Do not drive into flooded areas.

Stay on firm ground. Moving water only 6 inches deep can sweep you off your feet. Standing water may be electricity charged from underground or downed power lines.

Use 911 to report life-threatening emergencies only.

If you have storm related needs, please call 334-615-HELP. Updates will be provided as they become available throughout the event.
