Commissioners had a meeting Thursday, about the 2014-2015 budget.
They say its a standard budget; including key items such as the new automated garbage collection system, which cost over 2,000,000.
There are also needs in the Sheriff and Probate Judge offices for them to be able to service residents.
Commission Chairman Mark Culver says, the most important part of the budget, making sure county residents are taken care of.
"We want to be able to continue to provide all the proper services to the county citizens that we need to and we'll be able to do that. Houston county is in good financial shape, " said Culver.
The budget will be about $38,000,000.
