It was a day full of valuable advice for girls at one local middle school.
Honeysuckle middle school held a "ladies talk" session Friday.
More than a dozen women business owners, teachers, athletes and influential women in the community participated.
The ladies answered questions from the girls.
Organizers say the purpose of the forum is to give young ladies an opportunity to get support they may be lacking at home.
"We do need a strong presence from the community in our school and our students need to know that there are people out there willing to help them," said Resource Specialist Kevin Bowden.
Male mentor day was held earlier this year.
