A Dothan resident has been identified in a homicide that happened over the weekend.
On February 4th, Dothan Police along with The Houston County Sheriff’s Office, Headland Police, and Alabama Bureau of Investigation, worked to get answers on a case that lead to the death of a Dothan man.
Investigators say Jarvis Daffin was last seen going to Headland with two other males.
Law enforcement officers believe Daffin was fatally wounded by a single gunshot during that trip.
"Based on this information and other information investigators had, they did follow these leads and were able to locate the victim who had been shot and left in a wooded area in Tumbleton Alabama." Dothan Police Sergeant Rachel David said.
A manager at church's chicken on north Oates did confirm Daffin used to work for their company.
Investigators believe the reason for the shooting, appears to be a robbery.
At this point, investigators do have a few people of interest.
There are still plenty of unanswered questions in the case.
We'll continue to follow it for you.
In the meantime, if you have information police can use in their investigation, you are urged to call crimestoppers at 793-7000.
