DOTHAN, AL - A hearing is set for Monday in the challenge to Dothan's second district commission race.
Incumbent commissioner Amos Newsome defeated Lamesa Danzey in the August 6th election by just 14 votes.
Danzey filed a statement of contest on August 19th, nearly two weeks later.
Newsome wants that challenge thrown out. He filed a motion to dismiss earlier this month.
The hearing is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the Houston County Courthouse.
