Road work has begun on south Main Street in Headland.
The city is repaving a nearly a mile and a half of south main street from the bridge to King Street.
It is being down-sized from a 4 lane road to a 2 lane road and bike lanes will be added on both sides.
Headland officials say the project will fix a big pot-hole problem.
"It is going to be rough until they get it done but once they get it done it is going to be great it’s going to be so much better without having to hit the potholes and to get to drive on both sides of the road ."
The project is expected to be finished in 45 days.
