Headland is going digital.
The Court System, Police Department and City Hall are using a program called “Rack 2 Fliter”. Important documents, tickets, policies and procedural manuals are all being scanned. It helps with organization and cuts back on storage.
“With this here you just go back to that person or that case number, traffic citation number, you go to it pull it up and you have a copy of the ticket,” said Chief Mark Jones of the Headland Police Department. “You have a copy of the disposition sheet on it and the payment plan.”
If they need a document in the system, they can print it, scan it and even e-mail it.
