The following is a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the following areas from the National Weather Service office in Tallahassee:
Southeast Alabama, Southwest and South Central Georgia, Florida Big Bend, Florida Panhandle, Adjacent Coastal Waters
Day One - Today and Tonight:
Scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across the region. Some of these storms could contain gusty winds...and a severe storm or two is not out of the question.
Day Two through Seven – Wednesday through Monday:
As the upper level ridge which brought our region the recent heat wave builds to the northwest over the middle plains...a trough axis with cooler and more unsettled conditions is expected to develop across our region...especially from Thursday through Saturday...before the model solutions begin to diverge for Sunday and Monday. For Wednesday...the 4th of July holiday...the forecast is still somewhat uncertain at this time...as there will likely be at least scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Unfortunately...however...both the global and hi-resolution models are still not in the best agreement on the development...timing... Evolution...and intensity of the expected convection. Therefore...all interests are urged to keep up with the latest forecasts from the national weather service today and tonight...as we expect the models to come into better agreement which will help those with outdoor plans.
