Hair samples allow drug testing sites to go back 90 days instead of a week or two.
It also allows companies to see if the person getting tested has been around drugs or actually ingested them.
"We’ve seen a lot more companies start to do it, because initially hair testing was much more expensive, it’s come down a lot, and even companies like waffle house will do drug testing on their employees." Health link owner Scott Covington said.
If ingested the test shows the drug broken down in the system.
