NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Oil production in the Gulf of Mexico is still almost entirely shut down, but workers are returning to the platforms they abandoned before Hurricane Isaac hit. Federal officials say 377 of the nearly 600 production platforms have now some staffing on them. But officials estimate that 94 percent of oil production and about 65 percent of natural gas production in the Gulf remains shut.
