An Alabama business hopes its donation helps bring jobs to Dothan.
The Southeast Alabama Gas District gave a check for $15,000 to the Grow Dothan campaign.
The campaign is aimed at growing the city economically.
A representative from the gas district says he hopes more people stay in Dothan and put down roots.
"Economic development is simple to us, it is trying to provide jobs so our people can stay here and have good paying jobs and they can raise their families in the comunities that they love," said Wiley Lott, director of External Affairs and Economic Development.
Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz, Commissioner Jackie Battles and Dothan Chamber members were all in attendance.
