Group Prepares for Christmas in July

Dothan, AL - One local group is already preparing for Christmas.

The Taylor Masonic Lodge held a charity auction Saturday morning at the Houston County Farm Center.

From furniture to Harley Davidson gear there was plenty to auction off.

All of the funds raised will help provide underprivileged kids with a cheerful Christmas morning.

Leaders say it feels good to give back.

"Children that might not have a Christmas, we give them a gift certificate. We appreciate Houston County allowing us to come out here and do this and all the people that come out here and supports it. We get the money, and we give it away," said Bobby Thomley.

Last year they provided gifts to more than fifty kids. They hope to help more this holiday season.
