Alabama Governor Robert Bentley participated in the opening of an aviation repair facility at the South Alabama Regional Airport between Opp and Andalusia.
Governor Bentley says DRS Technologies is on the runway to the state's growing aviation industry.
The North Carolina-based Corporation will be involved in the engine overhaul of both civilian and military aircraft.
DRS officials plan on hiring employees early next year for the Covington county facility.
