COLUMBUS, GA - Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal signed three bills into law Tuesday that affect military families and veterans across the state.

Over the next year, all medical facilities in Georgia will be required to accept "Tricare", the military health insurance program.

Governor Deal also emphasized the implementation of a veterans court system, which will uniquely handle former military members who have run-ins with the law.

"We know that veterans who can sometimes come out with problems associated with their military service wind up in trouble with the law, and this gives us the opportunity to create a separate court to deal specifically with their issues," he said.

The third new law will allow out-of-state military members to apply for hunting and fishing licenses in Georgia without having a state ID.
