A Georgia man is facing felony charges for possessing an alligator in Alabama.

Police say Kevin Davis, 24, of Georgetown, was arrested in Eufaula after someone said they saw a live alligator in the back of his truck.

Davis is charged with taking or possessing an alligator. He is being held on $5,000 bond in the Barbour County Jail. Davis told police he wanted to show the alligator to his son.

The three-foot albino alligator has been returned to Lake Eufaula.
