Emanuel County Sheriff J. Tyson Stephens says 21-year-old Samantha Janes Scott and 36-year-old Randy Lee Scott have been charged in the death of Kenneth Wiley Janes.
Officials say Kenneth Janes was reported missing and authorities found his body in a makeshift grave at the Scott Family Cemetery on March 8.
Details on the motive behind the slaying were not immediately available Monday.
Stephens says the two are charged with murder and concealing a death.
Samantha Scott is also charged with financial transaction card fraud and Randy Scott is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
It is unclear if the Scotts have lawyers.
