Earlier this week, Moultrie Georgia Police responded to a toddler left in a hot car in a hospital parking lot. A concerned citizen used a piece of wire to pen the locked van door and get the child out.

A hospital worker told police the girl had been in the van for about a half hour. The two women who were in the van when it was locked, were found in the hospital's OB department and arrested. They're charged with reckless conduct.

"Once he was able to get the door unlocked the child just bolted directly to him, and latched onto him she was completely covered in sweat from head to toe and she was definitely in distress, they were able to provide her with some water and other nutrients."

The child and her siblings are now in the care of a relative.
