A STATE SPOKESMAN SAYS THE 36-HUNDED ACRES ALONG THE GENEVA-COVINGTON COUNTY LINE IS A SIGNIFICANT ECOLOGICAL RESOURCE... AND HOME TO A NUMBER OF ENDANGERED SPECIES.
IT'S ALSO AN AREA THAT SERVES AS A CORRIDOR FOR MIGRATORY BIRDS.
THE LAND WAS PURCHASED FROM AN ANDALUSIA-BASED TIMBER COMPANY.
