Geneva Levee Issue

A decade ago, Congress allocated several millions of dollars to construct new levees for both Elba and Geneva. Geneva officials are concerned with water being retained inside the structure.
On several occasions, the levee gates have shut causing water to flood several homes and businesses inside the city. Fortunately, Geneva has been spared from any major floods in a number of years. But, the design issues will be addressed..
