THIS WEEK, THE GENEVA COUNCIL LEARNED IT'LL SOON RECEIVE NEARLY A HALF MILLION COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK TO FIX CHRONIC DRAINAGE ISSUES.
NEAR RECORD RAINFALL EARLIER IN THE YEAR CAUSED MASSIVE STREET FLOODING IN LOW-LYING AREAS OF GENEVA. CITY OFFICIALS HAVE LONG BLAMED CENTURY-OLD SEWAGE LINES FOR PART OF THE PROBLEM. JIMMY MASHBURN LIVES IN A FLOOD PRONE NEIGHBORHOOD. HE'S OVERJOYED TO HEAR THE CITY WILL SOON FIX THE PROBLEM..
