The failure to approve a penny sales tax increase in Geneva County will mean fewer dollars for road paving.
Last month, voters turned down a proposal that would have earmarked money for a new jail and road paving.
Now, the Geneva County Commission has voted to apply for rural assistant match funds.
Engineers say it will cover the replacement of 11 sub-standard bridges ... But little else.
