Recently, several deaths of natural causes occurred in Geneva County where there were no relatives. The county is responsible for either burial or cremation.
Cremation is the most economical means, but state law requires the approval of a relative. However.., certain county officials are allowed to sign for cremation. The county may purchase land for use in the disposal of bodies…
